I spent the first half of my life in Albuquerque, so a lot of the folk stories and mysteries of my childhood were influenced by the landscape and culture there. I set my portfolio pieces in landscapes of my youth (namely Albuquerque, Abiquiu, and Santa Fe) while telling stories cloaked in the mystery and magic that I interpreted them in as a child.
